"Magic Wand" will protect Israel from rocket attacks.

On March 1, the IDF has proceeded with the initial stage of operation of the most advanced ballistic missile defense system in the world "Sharvit Ksamim", which is translated as "Magic Wand" or "David’s Sling" in the English.

Jointly with the "Iron Dome", which has long been successfully protecting the residents of Israel, it will work to intercept the short-range ballistic missiles, unguided large caliber rockets, along with subsonic cruise missiles at ranges of 40 to 300 kilometers. "Magic Wand" ballistic missile defense system was created by experts of the Israeli group "Rafael". It will be the middle link of the general set of the Israeli missile defense.

Throughout its entire history, Israel is exposed to daily terrorist attacks; therefore, it’s forced to defend itself. It is difficult to imagine what would happen if there were no such missile defense system. Each month a small Israeli territory is bombed by missiles, the number of which varies from a few dozens to a few hundred (in the periods of exacerbation). It is difficult to imagine the number of possible losses due to such kind of attacks. Of course, the work of such ABM as "Magic Wand" is costly to the Israeli budget, but, you must admit that it’s worth it.
