Friends, I think all of you heard about the barbaric attack by unknown that appeared tonight in the synagogue of Rabbi Nachman in Uman.

They shouted anti-Semitic slogans (in Russian). One of the largest Jewish shrines was doused with red paint, attackers planted pig's head carved swastika there. Then - escaped.

People were inside, but they remained intact. They prayed, when the attackers came. They thought it were foreigners visiting historical places.

Friends, I'm just shocked. Of course, anti-Semitism is a plague that rages in Ukraine, as in the world. The government has to solve it, combat manifestations of religious intolerance at all levels. But everyone else - too.

I am most worried that the attack occurred at a time when Israel and Ukraine become closer. Israel has recently supported the sovereignty of Ukraine in the vote on UN Resolution on Crimea. Soon, Prime Minister of Ukraine Vladimir Groisman will go with the official visit to Israel. Some people do not like strong friendship between the two countries. And this despicable traitors are doing their best to stir up anti-Ukrainian wave of global media and worsen the attitude of the world and Jews in particular.

I am sure that most Ukrainian condemns this attack as well as I do. Now the Israelis have to understand that Ukraine is their close friend. Therefore, we cannot allow people to affect our relationship. Criminals have to sit in jail, for no one to serve to their example.
