Friends! I congratulate all of you on the Day of Kyiv!

Traditionally, this holiday is celebrated on the last Sunday of May, but this year for residents and guest’s celebration this beautiful day allocated for four days. This year's slogan is appropriate: "Four days of dance, music and flowers." This weekend in the capital of Ukraine will be about 30 different events dedicated to the holiday - from cultural and ending with sports, so everyone can choose a celebration of taste.

Kyiv is one of the oldest, greenest and most beautiful cities in Europe. The deepest metro station in Europe - is "Arsenalna". One of the most beautiful - "Golden Gate". Among the top places in the world there is the National Library of Ukraine Vernadsky. It is part of the list of 20 largest public libraries in the world and has about 15 million books.

Kyiv is full of amazing sights. Most visited museum in Kiev is National Historical and Cultural Reserve "Kiev-Pechersk Lavra", it is visited by more than a million tourists a year. Kyiv highest monument is a monument-sculpture "Motherland". Its height is 102 m and it is one of the five tallest statues in the world. Also in Kyiv, there is a monument that cannot be found anywhere in the world - a monument to garbage truck. It was established in 2004 in gratitude to sanitation workers Ukraine.
