Greetings, dear friends!

Today, I would like to tell you about the leading energy efficient technologies that are being introduced in Lviv and region. Lviv region is trying to adopt the energy saving experience from the leading countries of the world. This, of course, contributes to the geographical position: it is simply more convenient to travel from Lviv abroad in order to see everything that is new for Ukrainians but already exists in Europe.

So, for the past six months, Lviv municipal enterprise "Municipal squad" uses in its work the electric cars instead of petrol. ME (municipal enterprise) rents five electric cars Renault Fluence, which are used for protection, rapid response to the calls, accompanying the mass scale events and meeting the guests.

Does everyone remember how much gasoline cost now? The price of one liter of fuel is about 21 UAH (has anyone fueled a car with only one liter?). The electric car can recharge and drive about 100 km for the same money. And that is more than enough for a city. In addition, electric cars do not pollute the atmosphere, they are quiet and don’t require changing the oil. Further, the ME will rent more economical cars Nissan Leaf, which will drive longer on the one charge.

Another initiative that worth attention is the construction of a solar power plant in the Lviv region. A power plant will be built on a plot of 50 hectares, which will provide the surrounding areas with electricity. It's nice that local officials are well aware of the prospects of the "green" energy. I have repeatedly talked about the efficient use of the alternative energy sources in Israel, let's remember about the Knesset, which is considered as one of " the greenest" parliaments of the world; the construction of the solar plants for the Israeli army. These projects are beneficial not only for consumers, and, obviously, are the benefits to the whole country: the environment remains clean, the construction is quick and not complicated in comparison with the hydroelectric power plant, the maintenance is also easier to carry out. And, of course, the alternative energy market is growing, the developments in this area, competition, and, therefore, the profit.

Prudent management, the use of new and promising methods and a profit earning from them at the local level, focusing on the needs and opportunities of the region – that is the real decentralization of power at the local level, which will help in the development of the state as a whole.
