Monday starts with good news!

The Honorary Consulate of Israel initiated the next visit of the representatives of Ukraine to Israel for exchange of experience in the field of taxation and economic development. For the past two days I am in Jerusalem together with a delegation of the Ukrainian politicians, where the meetings are holding with the leaders of Israel.

The Ukrainian delegation includes the deputies of the Verkhovna Rada, in particular, the members of the Committee on Taxation and Customs Policy, its Chairman, Nina Yuzhanina, and also the Head of the Lviv Regional State Administration, Oleg Syniutka, the people’s deputy, Borislav Bereza, the co-chairman of the group of friendship Ukraine-Israel Borislav Rozenblat.

At this time the Ukrainian parliamentarians arrived to study the Israeli experience in the construction of the tax system and reduction of fiscal pressure, so that later we could apply it to the Ukrainian realias. The Israeli experience is unique and can be very helpful especially for Ukraine. Israel has built its economy in a state of permanent war, terror, aggression, on the barren lands. But it managed to attach the priorities at the proper time. Now we have the opportunity to learn how to get the maximum benefit with the minimal resources.

On Sunday there was a meeting of our delegation with the Speaker of the Knesset, Yuli Edelstein, the Head of the Finance Committee of the Knesset, Moshe Gafni, the Deputy of Finance Minister, Yitzhak Cohen, the Ex-minister of Foreign Affairs and Head of the party "Israel is Our Home", Avigdor Lieberman, and the Knesset's director-general, Ronen Plot.

The Israeli colleagues absolutely openly shared with us with its invaluable experience: in particular, Gafni said that in a democracy the disputes between the parliament and the government are almost inevitable, but we need to learn how to come to a compromise. Both he and Mr. Cohen appealed the Ukrainian parliamentarians to seek to reduce the taxes and to focus on raising the level of GDP per capita. These are the obvious things which Ukraine still can not realize.

Every time during the visits to Israel I stress that Ukraine is an attractive region for the investment. The Ukrainian business seeks to the stability, and the situation, in spite of everything, is changing for the better. It is important for many people in Israel to understand that Ukraine has the unique resources, that it is possible to do business here.

Friends, such visits when people communicate in an informal atmosphere, meet as good friends, convince the Israelis that "there is someone with whom to deal" in Ukraine. Now as never before we need an investor. The investor who wants to invest and develop business in our country, create jobs, pay taxes. And for this purpose it is necessary to reform the tax system that the potential investor knows exactly that he and his money are protected by law.
