Friends!
Friends! These days, the Minister of Education of Ukraine Lilia Grinevich visited Israel to seek the latest methods of Israeli education, ways of integrating children with special needs and capable children, innovations and startups in education. A series of meetings with Israeli education and science specialists was organized for this purpose. I am pleased to be a part of the delegation and to take part in such extremely important events.
On the first day of the visit, Mrs. Grinevich visited one of Tel-Aviv schools - "ORT Singalovsky", where advanced approaches of learning were applied. Representatives of the school administration introduced the Minister of Education of Ukraine with their methods that helped to develop the children's creative abilities and, in general, revealed their potential.
Mrs. Grinevich had a conversation with her colleague - Minister of Education of Israel, Naftali Bennett. He said that the distinctive feature of Israeli education is that it is "informal" and focuses on raising children's responsibility. For example, an important role is played by teenage movements. So, the minister himself, at the age of 15, has already led large groups of peers to campaigns, took responsibility for their welfare. Also, the army plays an important role, after it the Israeli man is formed as a person who is sure that everything is in his force. And this confidence in its turn is the basis for the creation of unique technologies and inventions.
In addition, along with representatives from the Israeli Ministry of Education, we discussed such important issues as the integration of children with special needs because they need full access and medical care so that they can comfortably study at school.
Also interesting is the experience of Israeli educators in identifying gifted children - this can already be done by a primary school teacher. Such children undergo a special test and, if they are confirmed, the pupil is transferred to a special class, where he is engaged in a complicated program before completing his studies at the school.
Friends! These meetings have once again proved that Israel is an example for Ukraine; the experience of this young state can easily be borrowed and implemented in Ukrainian realities. We learned a lot about interesting perspectives and steps to improve Ukrainian education. Hopefully, they will be able to translate into reality in the nearest future.
