This night in Lviv happened a shouting incident. The unknown distorted the stele on the Synagogue Square with provocative inscriptions and symbols.

I hope that the guilty will be delayed as soon as possible. Moreover, the incident was captured on video surveillance cameras. I am grateful to the mayor of Lviv, who personally asked the police and the SBU to speed up the search. I am sure that the city authorities will do everything possible to punish the perpetrators.

Of course, I am extremely indignant that such a case occurred in Lviv, one of the most tolerant cities. That was damaged one of the steles of the "Space of Synagogues", which had been opened not long ago. These are unacceptable things. It's a pity that by putting so much effort into the development of Ukrainian-Israeli friendship, there are still people who are doing such things to leave a negative footing. Twice more unpleasant is the fact that it was young people, as eyewitnesses said.

Antisemitism and racism must be destroyed in the embryo. We must make every effort to do this. I am convinced that this attempt to stir up interethnic hatred will not take place.
