June, 1st is the International Children’s Day.

This day has a special meaning for Ukraine: there is a war in our country, and everybody is suffering from its consequences. If the psyche of an adult can still find logical arguments of aggression taking place around, the psyche of a child receives indelible trauma. In the situation, when thousands of young Ukrainians have been orphaned, abandoned their homes, survived the horrors of war, we will suffer the consequences for years.

As a father, I am fully aware that raising a child is a difficult daily work. Today our children especially need the protection. So, is there so much needed for making the childhood happy? Children do not need either wealth or power - but they really need to be understood, loved and given the opportunity to go their own way. And also they need to be near their parents. The most important thing we can do for our children is to surround them with care and attention, give love and warmth. Adults, let's remember more often, that nothing is more precious than children's smiles.

Today I wish Israeli and Ukrainian children their life to be happy and unclouded, to have only a peaceful sky over their heads, and to live in happy families. Health and fulfillment of all desires!
