Israel is an unusual country with wonderful people, each of whom has brought their contribution to the formation of this multicultural state.
Such mix of traditions provides fertile ground for unique ideas. What remains in the country where there is little soil, there are no natural resources and there is little water?
Jews would not be Jews, if they did not find a way out of any critical situation: in such conditions, when others would simply exist in their waterless desert, Israelites made a bet on the greatest wealth they possess - on people. In Israel they have long understood that the main resource of the country is people with their ideas. Extreme conditions require the same offers and Israelis offer. No water? We will water each tree by dribs. No electricity? But in the dessert there is a lot of sunshine, which will give it all year round. No food? We will construct greenhouses and reap a harvest 4 times a year.
Sometimes these ideas seem quite strange, but they really work. So recently the SuperMeat Israeli startup has developed a technology of producing cultured meat from chicken cells. In a safe and controlled environment outside the body of a bird, the inventors plan to grow chicken breasts. And this is only the beginning: in time the start-up is going to make cultured meat a full replacement of animal meat. Moreover, the developers assure that facilities to grow meat will be available for ordinary customers.
Even now scientists have learned to grow animal cells, but this is extremely expensive. And the Israeli startup offers to grow organic meat in the environment that imitates the physiology of an animal which will reduce the cost of the process. Apart from the obvious economic benefits, such meat can be enriched in protein, omega-3, vitamins, calcium and iron.
Now developers raise finances to start production. It is interesting what vegans will say about the meat, which is produced without animal abuse.
