Today I would like to talk about a real example of the Ukrainian-Israeli friendship.

One of the soldiers has recently contacted me, he defends Ukrainian land in the East of our country. His name is Gregory, and he is the soldier of the Israeli army, who served in the legendary "Golani" brigade. He asked me to show what Ukrainian-Israeli friendship is, how Israelis actually support Ukrainians and relationship between Ukrainians and Jews in Ukraine.

By the will of fate, Gregory appeared in Ukraine during the Revolution of Dignity and could not stay away. From the first days of the war, he went to the East, to help Ukrainian soldiers with his experience. Gregory is a patriot of his country; he knows how a small country can be defended from the aggressive neighbor.

In February 2016, there was heavy fighting near Gorlovka town and Gregory was there.

"I raised the flag of "Golani " brigade - said Gregory. Then battalion deputy commander asked me to raise the flag of Israel also.

It has been done in order to show to everyone around the world, that there is no anti-Semitism in Ukraine and in Armed Forces of Ukraine. We are different soldiers, we are all different, but we defend Ukrainians.We are brotherly nations, are we not? »

Politicians, provokers, the media can say anything, try to embroil us for imaginary far-fetched problems, but such actions speak for themselves.

Let me explain what is on the photo: first is Ukrainian flag, under it American flag. American flag has been raised to annoy the enemy. After it the flag of The State of Israel and the flag of "Golani " brigade.

The first infantry "Golani" brigade - is one of the very first six brigades, which fought for the independence of Israel.

Soldiers of the brigade took part in all Israel independence wars, and brigade become famous for participation in special operations (for example "Entebbe" special operation).Flag of "Golani" brigade is a tree on a yellow background. Yellow background - is a reminder of the outstanding role of the brigade in the war of 1948 and Eilat assault.

The first soldiers in the "Golani" were simple peasants and recent immigrants, so brown here symbolizes the land of Israel. Soldiers of "Golani» brigade wear brown berets, not like in the other infantry brigades (such as red, purple or bright green).

I absolutely agree with Gregory that any attempt to embroil Israel and Ukraine are doomed. Moreover, if someone try to that it will be enough to show him these photos.
